In the upcoming Apple TV+ series The Last Thing He Told Me, Jennifer Garner plays the role of Hannah, a woman who is thrown into a complicated situation when her husband suddenly goes missing. In an attempt to uncover the truth behind his mysterious disappearance, Hannah must build a relationship with her stepdaughter Bailey, who is just sixteen years old.
The latest trailer begins with Hannah asking her husband, played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, what defines him. His response is that he would do anything for his daughter. Shortly after, Hannah receives a note from a young girl claiming to be from her husband, urging her to protect their daughter.
As Hannah tries to reach her husband, she is unable to make contact and struggles to answer Bailey’s questions about his whereabouts. It soon becomes clear that her husband had been keeping secrets from both her and Bailey, leaving them to unravel the mystery and face the consequences alone.
The Last Thing He Told Me is based on a book by author Laura Dave and is produced by Hello Sunshine for Apple TV+. The series is directed by an all-female lineup of directors, including Olivia Newman, Deniz Gamze Erguven, Daisy Von Scherler Mayer, and Lila Neugebauer. It is also the first collaboration between married couple Laura Dave and Academy Award winner Josh Singer, who both serve as executive producers alongside Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon, and Lauren Neustadter.
The show premieres globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on April 14, followed by new episodes every Friday through May 19. Fans of suspenseful dramas will undoubtedly be eagerly anticipating the premiere of this thrilling new series.
