Renowned American singer Taylor Swift is set to recommence her Eras Tour in Stockholm, Sweden, raising curiosity among fans in the United States on how they can take part in the excitement from afar.
Swift, 34, has three concerts lined up at the Friends Arena in Sweden, scheduled from Friday, May 17 to Sunday, May 19. Paramore has been chosen as the opening act for the shows which are slated to start at 6:15 p.m. local time or 12:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) given the six-hour time difference between the two regions.
Swift’s much-awaited performance is expected to begin at 7:15 p.m. local time (1:15 p.m. EST). Her ‘surprise song’ acoustic section is set to happen at 10 p.m. local time, giving East Coast fans a prime opportunity to tune in to live streams and follow social media updates starting at 4 p.m. EST. The concert is expected to end approximately 35 minutes after this segment.
Swift’s New Albums and Changes to the Eras Tour
On May 9, following a two-month interval during which she released her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, Swift commenced the European leg of her tour in Paris. She surprised her fans by not only including her new album to the already impressive setlist but also altering the arrangement of songs, removing some tracks, and debuting several new outfits.
The Tortured Poets Department section of the concert now happens after the performance of songs from the 1989 album and preceding the acoustic section. Swift has incorporated seven new tracks from her latest album including “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
On her Instagram account, Swift lauds the new section of the show, thanking her team, performers, and fans particularly in Paris for making the experience unforgettable. Her post reads: “This post is dedicated to the new Tortured Poets section of the Eras Tour (aka Female Rage The Musical!) and everyone who made these memories so magical. I’m SO fired up to play this for every crowd on the tour. See you very soon, Stockholm!”
