The highly anticipated trailer for Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla” has been unveiled by A24. Starring Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny, the film is a unique take on the Elvis biopic genre, focusing on the life of Priscilla Presley.
Based on Priscilla Presley’s memoir, “Elvis and Me,” the film portrays her life and relationship with the King of Rock ‘n Roll.
Spaeny and Elordi follow in the footsteps of Olivia DeJonge and Austin Butler, who played the same roles in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 biographical drama, “Elvis”.
“Priscilla” marks Sofia Coppola’s third collaboration with A24, following “On the Rocks” and “The Bling Ring.” The film features a number of Coppola’s longtime collaborators, including Philippe Le Sourd, Stacey Battat, Sarah Flack, and Tamara Deverell.
Coppola directs and writes the film, producing alongside Youree Henry, Lorenzo Mieli of The Apartment, Fremantle Company, and American Zoetrope.
The production is funded by The Apartment and Sony’s Stage 6 Films. Distribution will be handled by A24 in North America and Stage 6 Films/Sony Pictures International Releasing elsewhere, while Italy will see it as a Sky exclusive.
A release date will be revealed soon.
