Sausage Party holds the title of the second highest-grossing R-rated animated film and has successfully spun off a TV series titled Sausage Party: Foodtopia. Set to debut on Amazon Prime Video, this series is set in the aftermath of the original film’s events, featuring the adventures of the very same sinful food items audiences previously fell for.
About Sausage Party: Foodtopia
Set after the 2016 film, Sausage Party: Foodtopia continues the story of Frank, Brenda, Barry, and Sammy. Voiced by Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, and Edward Norton respectively, these food-item characters are tasked with creating their unique society after they discover the truth about their existence.
Due to the series’ array of adult jokes and edgy humor, Seth Rogen has already cautioned the PR team at Amazon about the possibility of a controversial scene that had even caught the seasoned actress, Kristen Wiig, off guard.
The Cast
The original Sausage Party cast members Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, and Edward Norton return to voice their respective food characters once more. New additions to the team include Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Natasha Rothwell, and Yassir Lester. However, it is undetermined whether Bill Hader will return to voice the roles of “Firewater” and “José Tequila”.

The eight-episode series is set to be launched on Amazon Prime Video on July 11.
