Road House Remake Starring Jake Gyllenhaal
In a modern take on the 1989 action classic, Jake Gyllenhaal steps into the shoes of Elwood Dalton, a role reminiscent of Patrick Swayze’s memorable performance. Directed by Doug Liman, this rendition follows Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter, as he navigates threats in his new job at a Florida Keys roadhouse, showcasing Gyllenhaal alongside a notable cast including Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, and Conor McGregor in his acting debut. Oscar winner Peter Farrelly revisits his comedic roots with Ricky Stanicky, an R-rated laugh fest starring Zac Efron and John Cena. The plot revolves around three friends and their fabricated scapegoat, Ricky Stanicky, leading to a hilarious scenario where they hire a down-and-out actor to embody Stanicky.
