Alicia Silverstone shines in supernatural horror ‘Perpetrator’ – watch the trailer now

Renowned actress Alicia Silverstone turns heads with a gripping performance in the upcoming horror film, “Perpetrator.” From the creative mind of filmmaker Jennifer Reeder, known for her chilling chapter “Holy Hell” in “V/H/S/94,” and the eerie feature “Night’s End,” “Perpetrator” poses the question: can one teenager stoke or still the chaos in an entire town?

The narrative focus of “Perpetrator” is Jonny, a young woman juggling a cluster of personal issues. Her life takes a twisty turn when she reunites with her Aunt, setting into motion a series of life-altering events. The film is produced under Reeder’s capable direction, offering yet another fresh take within the spooky genre.

In a crucial role, Alicia Silverstone brings to life the character of the estranged Aunt who reconnects with her troubled niece – Jonny. The official synopsis of the film discloses an intriguing storyline: “Reckless teenager, Jonny Baptiste (Kiah McKirnan), is sent to live with her estranged Aunt Hildie (Alicia Silverstone). On turning 18, she undergoes a radical transformation due to a family spell known as Forevering. When Jonny discovers that teen girls are disappearing from her new school, she, infused with mythical beastliness, decides to track down the Perpetrator.”
