Emilia Clarke Joins Cast of Prime Video’s ‘Criminal’
Emilia Clarke has been confirmed as a cast member in the forthcoming Prime Video crime drama series “Criminal,” an adaptation of Ed Brubaker’s graphic novel.
Role Details
According to Variety, Clarke will portray Mallory, a “slick and daring armed robber, as quick with a gun as she is with her wits.” Mallory is part of a heist crew with Ricky Lawless (Gus Halper), with whom she shares a passionate Bonnie-and-Clyde-like relationship. Her character is described as living on the edge, operating on the wrong side of the law, and harboring secrets that threaten her entire crew.

Emilia Clarke is widely recognized for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” She has also appeared in “Solo: A Star Wars Story” and Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion.”

Originally released in 2006, Criminal is an on-going creator-owned comic book series by writer Ed Brubaker and illustrator Sean Phillips. Initially published under Marvel Comics’ Icon imprint, it later moved to Image Comics.
The series explores crime genre clichés with a realistic and believable approach. There are various self-contained stories focusing on different characters who grew up in the fictional Center City. These characters often frequent the same bar and share a history rooted in crime.
