Golden Bachelor Prospects
“He would be good for being the Golden Bachelor, not [on] the Golden Bachelorette,” Tyler, 31, told Us Weekly at CMA Fest’s Fitness at Fest event on Saturday, June 8. “[Because] he likes to juggle multiple women at once. So, he’d be better for the Golden Bachelor.”
Past Marriage and Family
Jeff was previously married to Andrea Cameron, who passed away in February 2020 at the age of 55. Together, they had three sons: Tyler, Ryan, and Austin.

Tyler Cameron initially appeared on season 15 of The Bachelorette. He was prepared to propose to then-lead Hannah Brown, but she ultimately chose now-ex Jed Wyatt over him.
ABC’s Offers and New Franchise Spinoffs
Since his appearance, ABC has offered Tyler the Bachelor position several times without success. He admitted that he does not watch the new seasons, stating, “I haven’t watched in years,” during the Saturday event.
In 2023, ABC launched a “golden” spinoff, with 72-year-old lead Gerry Turner. Gerry got engaged to Theresa Nist in the season 1 finale, and they wed in January. Their marriage lasted only three months.
Next ‘Golden Bachelorette’ Unveiled
Last month, it was announced that Joan Vassos, a contestant from Gerry’s season, would lead the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette.
“Hopefully it lasts longer than the Golden Bachelor,” Tyler joked. Reflecting on Gerry and Theresa’s short-lived marriage, he commented, “they made a ‘stain on love’.” He suggested holding The Golden Bachelorette in Florida: “I’ll run the show. We’ll go to the villages or Boca or Jupiter. I know plenty of old guys like my dad that [would like to] meet a nice lady right now.”
Future Episodes and Tyler’s Daily Life
The cast for 61-year-old Joan’s season has not been revealed yet. Episodes are expected to premiere in the fall.
While Tyler is unlikely to watch, he remains active in his Jupiter, Florida hometown.
Tyler’s Daily Routine
“My favorite day, we’re gonna get up [and] work out with my favorite trainer, Phil Fit. We’re gonna pound some Celsius [drinks]. He is gonna get us going,” Tyler described. “[Then] we’re gonna get on the boat, have a great day, stop by the tiki bar for some live music by Ricky Young, then go get dinner and be in bed by 9:30 p.m. watching a show.”
