Dan Da Dan tells the story of Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast. Despite their shared interest in the supernatural, Momo and Okarun frequently clash over their beliefs- Momo denies the existence of aliens but swears by ghosts, whereas Okarun vouches for aliens but not ghosts. To put an end to their dispute, they set off on separate adventures to experience the phenomena they believe in, only to encounter more than they had bargained for.
