Michelle Pfeiffer headlines Christmas ensemble comedy Oh. What. Fun. for Amazon

Michelle Pfeiffer is set to reclaim her holiday glory in the teaser trailer for Amazon MGM Studios’ latest comedy, “Oh. What. Fun.” Annoyed with playing second fiddle during festive times, Pfeiffer’s character, Claire Clauster, decides to swap holiday chaos for her own adventure.

The Plot Thickens

Directed by the jolly maestro Michael Showalter, this holiday flick begins streaming on Prime Video starting Dec. 3. Claire Clauster, known for transforming holiday gatherings into high-stakes productions, vanishes off the grid to live her best uncoordinated life. Michelle Pfeiffer’s character questions the age-old mystery: “Why does Saint Nick get all the credit?” Somewhere in the North Pole, Mrs. Claus silently agrees.

Casting Call

Get ready for star overload! The film features Chloë Grace Moretz, Dominic Sessa, Felicity Jones, Denis Leary, Jason Schwartzman, Eva Longoria, Joan Chen, Devery Jacobs, Havana Rose Liu, Danielle Brooks, and Maude Apatow. If this cast doesn’t add sparkle to your holidays, seeing Santa at the gym might. Moretz declares, “Damn, Santa’s jacked.” Indeed, a yuletide twist we never saw coming.

Behind the Scenes

Michael Showalter joins creative forces with Chandler Baker, based on Baker’s short story. The production team includes Jordana Mollick, Kate Churchill, Berry Welsh, and Jane Rosenthal. “Oh. What. Fun.” is not the only Showalter-Amazon collaboration wrapped under their festive tree—there’s also “The Idea of You” and the upcoming “Verity.”

As the eggnog simmers and the tinsel twinkles, remember: somewhere out there, Mrs. Claus finally gets her due. But don’t bother Santa; he’s probably lifting weights.
