Seth Rogen’s ‘The Studio’ Trailer Drops: Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and Ron Howard Bring the Heat in New Apple TV+ Comedy

Apple TV+ just dropped the first trailer for Seth Rogen’s latest comedy series, The Studio, and it’s shaping up to be a star-studded roast of Hollywood itself. With 10 episodes of backstabbing, laughable egos, and the chaos of moviemaking, the series kicks off on March 26, 2025, with two episodes premiering at launch and a new one every Wednesday through May 21. Mark your calendars because Rogen’s got some of the biggest names in the industry ready to hilariously tear into him.

The Studio stars Seth Rogen as Matt Remick, the newly minted head honcho of Continental Studios—a dream job that might just be his worst nightmare. As the movie industry faces an existential crisis, Matt and his ragtag team of execs navigate the shark-infested waters of Hollywood, fending off neurotic artists, hungry corporate suits, and their own constant sense of inadequacy. It’s all power suits and big smiles on the outside, but behind the scenes, it’s a ticking time bomb of insecurities and questionable decision-making—all in pursuit of that one hit that might save their careers. “It’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him,” teases the official logline. Sounds about right.

Adding to the pandemonium is an all-star cast, including Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. And if that weren’t enough, the trailer gives us a taste of some killer cameos—Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, Ron Howard, and Bryan Cranston all stop by to lend Matt some very “constructive” criticism. Rogen’s Matt might be the head of the studio, but he’s got some serious heavyweights ready to put him in his place, one expletive at a time.

Created by Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory, along with Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Frida Perez, The Studio comes via Lionsgate Television for Apple TV+. The Rogen-Goldberg duo, who brought us This Is the End and The Boys, also directed and executive produced under their Point Grey Pictures banner. Point Grey’s James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Josh Fagen join in as executive producers.

From the looks of it, The Studio could be a sharp, ironic peek into what it’s like when the movie industry tries to save itself from, well, itself. If you’ve ever wondered just how messy those award show speeches or marketing meetings really get, this show might be your ticket.
