Max has officially dropped the trailer for Season 3 of And Just Like That…, and just like that, Carrie Bradshaw is fleeing a pack of rats. Yes, the women of New York are back on May 29, and their lives are as messy, dramatic, and strangely whimsical as ever.
The 12-episode third season kicks off with a weekly release schedule starting May 29 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, bringing fans back into the post-Sex and the City chaos after nearly a two-year hiatus. The delay, thanks to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes of 2023, means expectations are high and the shoes are, once again, very expensive.
Carrie Writes Romantasy, Miranda Finds a New Flame, Charlotte’s a Momager Now
In the sun-drenched trailer, all three leads are entering new life chapters: Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) is writing romantic fiction now (because what else do you do after decades of nonfiction dating columns), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) has a new job and maybe a new love interest, and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is dealing with her daughter discovering the butterflies of young love.
And then there’s Aidan (John Corbett), back again and still emotionally allergic to consistency. The trailer suggests rocky waters ahead for him and Carrie, despite last season’s attempt at rekindling things with a side of long-distance drama.
Also, rats. Carrie is seen running from a pack of them mid-NYC summer, and naturally, she compares herself to a dancing ballerina in The Nutcracker. The rat metaphor basically writes itself.
Some Say Goodbye, Others Say Hello

Two familiar faces won’t be returning: Sara Ramírez’s Che Diaz and Karen Pittman’s Professor Nya Wallace. Che’s exit makes narrative sense given their breakup with Miranda, while Pittman’s departure is due to scheduling conflicts. Pour one out for character development.
But the cast is far from shrinking. Rosie O’Donnell joins as a new character named Mary, Patti LuPone is stepping in for diva duties, and new recurring players include Mehcad Brooks (Law & Order), Jonathan Cake (Desperate Housewives), and Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus). Sebastiano Pigazzi and Dolly Wells have also been promoted to series regulars.
As the series leans even more into its own blend of self-aware absurdity and Pinterest-board sophistication, the trailer promises an emotionally chaotic, fashion-forward season with plenty of dinner parties, relationship drama, and possibly a metaphorical or literal rat king.
And just like that, we’re watching again.
