Apple TV+ just released the official trailer for its eagerly awaited F1 racing drama starring Brad Pitt, perfectly timed for this weekend’s Formula 1 season opener in Australia. The movie, simply titled F1, reunites Pitt with the filmmaking dream team behind the blockbuster hit Top Gun: Maverick.
The film follows Brad Pitt as Sonny, a once-promising Formula 1 driver whose career was dramatically cut short by tragedy. Fast-forward 30 years, Sonny is now a drifting racer-for-hire, whose nomadic lifestyle is interrupted when former teammate Ruben Cervantes (played by Javier Bardem) approaches him with an urgent plea. Ruben’s F1 team is facing ruin, and he believes Sonny’s comeback could turn their fortunes around. Sonny teams up with a talented, fiery young racer named Joshua (Damson Idris), played as a rising star in the sport, forcing Sonny to confront his past and redefine his legacy.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski and penned by screenwriter Ehren Kruger, the movie promises pulse-pounding racing sequences and character-driven drama. Behind-the-scenes talent includes stars Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia. Notably, Javier Bardem adds gravity and intensity in his role as Ruben.

The highly anticipated film hits IMAX theaters on June 25, followed by a broader North American release on June 27. Mark your calendars and gear up for this adrenaline-fueled cinematic ride.
