Robert Pattinson’s Update on The Batman Part II

“We haven’t shot it yet,” Pattinson stated. He went on to confirm that production is expected to begin “at the end of the year.” While he remained tight-lipped about the film’s plot, he did add, “It’s cool.”

Plot details for The Batman Part II remain undisclosed, though director Matt Reeves has hinted that the upcoming Penguin series will serve as a bridge to the sequel. Andy Serkis, who plays Alfred Pennyworth, recently mentioned that Reeves has shared the storyline with him, expressing his excitement for the film.

The Batman Universe Continues

Reeves’ The Batman debuted in March 2022, launching a self-contained universe separate from James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU. Dubbed the “Batman Epic Crime Saga,” the first film featured a stellar cast, including Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Colin Farrell as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot/Penguin.

Mark Strong is set to take over the role of Carmine Falcone in The Penguin series, which will further explore Gotham’s underworld and set the stage for The Batman Part II.

A Recap of The Batman

The first film followed Batman as he investigated a series of cryptic clues left behind by a sadistic killer, leading him deep into Gotham’s web of corruption. As the case unfolded, Bruce Wayne faced the city’s dark underbelly and fought to bring justice to those exploiting their power.

With production set to begin later this year, fans eagerly await more details about The Batman Part II and its next chapter in Reeves’ dark and grounded Gotham universe.
