Thank the wilderness, love is in the air—or at least a lot of screaming is. Yellowjackets returns on Valentine’s Day 2025.
Yellowjackets Season 3 Premiere Date Announced
In case last week’s goofy copyright lawsuit wasn’t enough drama, we’ve got some much better news for fans of everyone’s favorite cannibalistic soccer cult. Showtime’s hit, Yellowjackets, officially returns to our screens on February 14, 2025. Think of it as an anti-Valentine’s Day gift—the first two episodes will be ready to stream for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers that Friday, ahead of its on-air debut on Sunday, February 16.
Showtime and Paramount+ announced the season three premiere today with a cheeky new tagline: “Eat your heart out.” Very on-brand for Valentine’s Day, right? The teaser clip gave us our first tastes of the upcoming chaos, though if you blink, you might miss them. Among the rapid-fire scenes: young Lottie caught in a chokehold by some unknown assailant, young Shauna brandishing a knife, and a terrified scream from—well, someone (maybe the future pit girl?). Either way, it’s clear we’re miles from Wiskayok High School, folks.
Spoiler Warning: Major spoilers ahead for the uninitiated
Need a refresher? Here’s where we left the Yellowjackets, both in their frostbitten youth and as adults trying to navigate their bizarre lives. Back in the wilderness, the teens took their plunge into savagery by dismembering and devouring poor Javi’s body. Meanwhile, Coach Ben, in a desperate move to defy the group’s dark spiral, burns down the cabin and leaves them without any shelter for what’s bound to be an excruciating winter.
In the present, adult Shauna, Misty, Tai, Van, and Natalie attempt to participate in one of their old hunting rituals—a scheme to get Lottie committed. But, as is tradition, things veer off script: Misty tragically ends up killing Natalie in an accident that no one could’ve planned. If you need all the gritty details, check out our recap of the season two finale.
What’s next for our beloved cult survivors and their twisted saga? And how will new faces like Hilary Swank and Joel McHale fit into all the madness? We don’t know—but it’s safe to say that Lottie and Tai have the wilderness on speed dial, and we’ll be eagerly tuning in to see what secrets it spills next.
