‘Despicable Me 4’ Tops July 4 Holiday Box Office

The Despicable Me universe continues to thrive, with the latest installment, Despicable Me 4, leading the July 4 holiday box office. In its first five days, the film grossed an impressive $122.6 million, securing the number one spot. With a $100 million budget, it’s set to be a profitable venture. According to Variety, $75 million of the total came from the holiday weekend alone.

In this sequel, Steve Carell returns as the voice of the lovable supervillain Gru, now with a growing family that includes baby Gru Jr.
