Originally released in 2002, The Thing is a squad-based third-person shooter survival horror game developed by Computer Artworks. In the game, players avoid various enemies and command NPCs who join them throughout the storyline.

The description highlights: “The Thing: Remastered is a faithful restoration of the cult-classic 2002 third-person survival horror shooter inspired by Universal Pictures’ 1982 film, The Thing. Nightdive Studios has upgraded this classic for modern gaming devices up to 4K resolution at 120FPS. Improvements in character models, textures, and animations have been crafted by Nightdive Studios, with advanced 3D rendering for enhanced lighting and atmospheric effects.”

The game acts as a sequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 film, sending Captain Blake to the Antarctic outpost from the movie to uncover the crew’s fate.
