Sydney Sweeney Drops Hints About Euphoria Season 3

Sydney Sweeney, known for her role as Cassie Howard in the popular HBO series Euphoria, recently provided hopeful updates about the show’s season 3. In her interview with Who What Wear, published on March 27, she hinted at a wild plot for the upcoming season and revealed filming plans to resume soon.

Delays in Season 3 Production

Season 3 of Euphoria was originally set to air in 2025 but faced significant setbacks. These include work commitments from cast members like Sweeney, Zendaya, and Jacob Elordi, director Sam Levinson’s focus on his ephemeral series The Idol, and workforce strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA in 2023. Despite these hurdles, HBO confirmed in a statement that they remained committed to producing the third season.

Sweeney’s Optimism About the Filming Gap

Unfazed by the considerable gap in filming, Sweeney shared her positive outlook with Who What Wear. According to the 26-year-old actress, the delay allows for personal and professional growth, particularly for her character Cassie.

The Actress’ Busy Schedule

Despite the Euphoria delays, Sweeney has been “deep in the trenches with a lot of projects,” including an account of Jane Fonda’s Barbarella and several tasks under her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films. In addition to this, she recently starred in the thriller, Immaculate, and the romantic comedy, Anyone But You. And if that isn’t enough, Sweeney, along with her fianc√© Jonathan Davino, tucked another feather in their hat by co-producing Anyone But You, which grossed billions of dollars at the box office.

Sweeney’s Dedication to Her Craft

Far from being a mere performer, Sweeney showed her earnestness in her profession. In her January 2022 interview with The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress talked about her unique process of understanding her characters through extensive note-taking, allowing her to fully envelop them.
