Jeremy Renner Back to Work on Season Three of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’

Jeremy Renner is back on set for the third season of Paramount+’s crime thriller series, ‘Mayor of Kingstown.’ The actor recently shared a candid snapshot on social media expressing his apprehensions and hopes as he returned to filming after his remarkable recovery from a snowplow incident. He emphasized his struggle and determination to continue acting for his fans and for the production that believed in him.

Renner revealed in a previous interview the near-fatal accident he had a year ago when he got run over by his snowplow, resulting in more than 30 broken bones, chest trauma, and orthopedic injuries, which needed multiple surgeries. Despite the severity of his accident, it was his will to fight for his life that brought him back to his feet and ultimately, back on set.

After his gruesome accident in January 2023, Renner has embarked on numerous therapies, including physical therapy and peptide injections, and he recently celebrated ten months of recovery. Despite the considerable setback, ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ is now ramping up for its third season.

Due to the excellent progress in Renner’s recovery, production for ‘Mayor of Kingstown’s’ third season is now in full swing. With half of the scripts already written before the writer’s strike, they’re all set and ready to roll. The show, which stars Renner as Mike McLusky, the unofficial mayor of a crime-riddled town, was renewed for another season even before the actor’s recovery announcement.

In addition to his triumphant return to ‘Mayor of Kingstown,’ Renner is also readying a musical piece that he composed during his recovery period. He hinted at his eagerness to share his journey to recovery through his music on social media.

The first two seasons of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ are available on Paramount+, with the third season to be added soon.
