The acclaimed HBO series “The White Lotus” is set for an exciting expansion in its cast lineup for the upcoming third season. Variety has confirmed the addition of six new cast members, bringing a fresh dynamic to the series.
Star-Studded Additions to the Cast
The new season will feature Leslie Bibb, known for her roles in “Iron Man” and “Jupiter’s Legacy”; Dom Hetrakul, who appeared in “Bangkok Dangerous” and “The Outrage”; Jason Isaacs, familiar to many from the “Harry Potter” franchise and “The Death of Stalin”; Michelle Monaghan of “Gone Baby Gone” and “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” fame; Parker Posey, recognized for her performances in “Best in Show” and “The Staircase”; and Tayme Thapthimthong, known for “Farang” and “Skin Trade.”
These actors join Natasha Rothwell, who Variety reported in April 2023 would be reprising her role as Belinda in Season 3.

The filming for the new season is scheduled to commence in February in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand. While the exact plot details remain a closely guarded secret, it is known that the story will revolve around a new group of guests at another White Lotus resort property.

“The White Lotus” is the brainchild of Mike White, who not only created the show but also serves as its executive producer and director. David Bernad and Mark Kamine join him as executive producers.

Since its debut in 2021, “The White Lotus” has been a significant success for HBO. The first season, set in Hawaii, garnered 20 Emmy nominations and ten wins, including the award for best limited or anthology series. The second season, set in Sicily, received 23 Emmy nominations, including for best drama series. The upcoming Emmys, broadcasting on Fox on January 15, will reveal the show’s latest accolades.

For Season 3, HBO has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. This collaboration aims to support the filming and promote the third installment, showcasing Thailand’s natural beauty, rich historical sites, and diverse landscapes.
Janet Graham Borba, executive vice president of production for HBO & Max, expressed excitement about this partnership, highlighting the opportunity to execute Mike White’s creative vision in Thailand’s stunning locations.
