Joy Ride’s trailer starring Oscar-Nominee, Stephanie Hsu, is wild and NSFW

“If you do not know where you come from, how do you know who you are?” Lionsgate has released the first official trailer for Joy Ride, a summer comedy set to hit theaters in July. The film is premiering at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas this week, which is why the trailer is dropping now. Produced by the team behind Neighbors and co-written by the minds behind Crazy Rich Asians and Raya and the Last Dragon, Joy Ride stars Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu, and Sabrina Wu. The story follows four Asian-American women on a trip through Asia to find one of their birth mothers. Along the way, they bond and discover what it means to know and love who you are. The cast also includes Ronny Chieng, Desmond Chiam, Alexander Hodge, and Chris Pang. This raucous comedy promises to be wildly out of hand and completely outrageous – exactly what audiences will want this summer. Though the trailer has a few cliché moments, it’ll still have you laugh out loud.
