Fans of 1994’s “The River Wild” can look forward to a direct-to-video stand-alone sequel that offers adrenaline-fueled, whitewater-rafting excitement.
If Emilia Clarke’s performance in “Secret Invasion” captivated you, brace yourself for her stellar portrayal of the iconic Sarah Connor in the often-overlooked “Terminator: Genisys”. This summer isn’t complete without Liam Neeson showcasing his “very particular set of skills”. In 2014’s “Non-Stop”, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Neeson, an air marshal, must solve a deadly mystery mid-air after receiving threatening text messages.
Terminator: Genisys (2015, available August 1)
“Terminator: Genisys” features Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return as a cyborg from the future, with Emilia Clarke assuming the role of Sarah Connor. Despite its lukewarm box office performance, the Alan Taylor-directed film skillfully recreates scenes from the original 1984 movie and adds a new twist to the Terminator timeline.
Tiger 24 (2022, available August 1)
“Tiger 24”, directed by Warren Pereira, documents the controversial tale of a tiger who, after killing several intruders, ends up locked in a zoo, sparking a major public outcry and legal battle that reaches the Supreme Court.
Trauma Center (2019, available August 1)
Bruce Willis plays a police lieutenant tasked with protecting an injured woman (Nicky Whelan) from murderous criminals in a locked-down hospital in 2019’s “Trauma Center”. The movie was one of Willis’ last before his retirement due to health issues.
The Furnace (2020, available August 1)

Adam Sandler’s fans are in for a treat this August with the premiere of “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah”. Based on Fiona Rosenbloom’s 2007 novel, the Sammi Cohen-directed comedy revolves around two young friends whose bat mitzvah plans take a dramatic turn due to a love triangle.
