Loki producer reveals origins of Ke Huy Quan’s Ouroboros character

Marvel fans, rejoice! The second season of Loki ups the intrigue with the arrival of Ke Huy Quan’s mysterious character, Ouroboros. Tuning into the series’ latest turn, we delve into Quan’s exceptional portrayal and the significant role Ouroboros plays in shaping the narrative.

Unraveling the Enigma: Ouroboros in Loki Season 2

Finding his space within the complex framework of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), Ouroboros, or OB, emerges as a lone genius operating from the TVA’s equivalent of a basement, shrouded in relics and artifacts of yesteryears. But OB is by no means an obscure figure; he is responsible for the TVA’s essential handbook that’s indispensable to many TVA personnel.

Ke Huy Quan brings much more to the role than just an eccentric persona. In the face of an error in Loki’s timeline, OB not only creates the tool crucial for Loki’s survival but also delves into the challenges faced by the TVA and its Time Loom.

From Script to Screen: Ke Huy Quan’s Audacious Portrayal

In an interview with Screen Rant, Producer Kevin Wright praised Quan’s interpretation and dedication, bringing to life a truly unique version of Ouroboros. He compared Quan’s engagement with the role to the efforts made by Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston with their characters Mobius and Loki, respectively.

“And I think the great thing was when Ke decided to join us. He really kind of took ownership of this thing and put so much of himself into it the way that Owen has put himself into Mobius and Tom has famously put his heart and soul into Loki for the last 12 years now. He just found a way to make that his own and do his own thing with it in a way that’s been awesome,” he said.

As the storyline of Loki continues to unfold, it’s clear: Quan’s portrayal of Ouroboros is nothing short of a masterpiece. His character is not only crucial to unravelling Loki’s temporal troubles but he also stands at the forefront of the threatened Time Loom, potentially preserving the continuum of time. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for OB in the Loki-verse.
