Jon Hamm’s back, and Apple TV+ isn’t playing around. The streamer has shown an early vote of confidence in the upcoming drama series Your Friends & Neighbors, giving it a greenlight for Season 2 even before the first season has aired. Created by Jonathan Tropper, known for Warrior and See, the series stars Hamm as the main attraction, marking his first lead in an ongoing series since his iconic Mad Men role. The premiere date is officially set for April 11, and Apple has dropped first-look photos to get viewers buzzing.
Your Friends & Neighbors tells the story of Andrew “Coop” Cooper, played by Hamm, a disgraced hedge fund manager trying to navigate life after being fired and dealing with a rough divorce. Instead of picking up a hobby or moving on like the rest of us would, Coop decides to start pilfering from his affluent neighbors in Westmont Village, only to find that the secrets lurking behind those gilded doors are far more twisted than expected. Expect drama, scandal, and probably a couple of moments that make you go, “Wow, that escalated quickly.”
Alongside Hamm, the show features an ensemble cast including Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Marie Gravitt, and Donovan Colan. Apple also gave a sneak peek at a few shots, showing Hamm and the rest of the cast slipping into their chaotic roles—which already promises the kind of drama that will have you glued to your couch.
With early screenings creating quite a buzz, Apple TV+ executives apparently couldn’t resist diving in for more, pushing for Season 2 before anyone outside the company even gets a look. The new season is already being drafted and is targeting a spring production start. Tropper, who’s also serving as showrunner and executive producer, teamed up with Hamm, Connie Tavel, and Craig Gillespie (yes, the guy who directed those first two episodes) for this project. Additional directors include Stephanie Laing, Greg Yaitanes, and Tropper himself.

Speaking of Jonathan Tropper, he’s clearly living the dream: “I’ve had this show in my head for years, and making it has been a dream come true,” Tropper shared. “Partnering with Jon, Connie, and Craig has been phenomenal, and the support from Apple has been incredible. The fact that they ordered a second season before the first has even aired is such a tribute to our stellar cast and crew.”
Fans can look forward to the premiere of Your Friends & Neighbors on April 11, with two episodes dropping initially, followed by a new episode each week until May 30. Looks like we’ll have a lot to talk about as Coop’s less-than-legal new hobby spirals out of control. Get your popcorn ready—it’s going to be a wild ride.
