Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe and Mark Ruffalo in creepy new film from Yorgos Lanthimos

Half a decade after the critically-acclaimed ‘The Favourite’, esteemed Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is making a comeback with ‘Poor Things’. The film touts a star-studded cast including Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Jerrod Carmichael, Christopher Abbott, Margaret Qualley, and Kathryn Hunter.

The script, penned by Tony McNamara, takes its inspiration from Alasdair Gray’s 1992 novel. Ahead of the movie’s September 8 release, Searchlight Pictures has given audiences a first look with the release of the initial trailer.
