Actor Rahul Kohli, noted for his performance in Midnight Mass, was an audience favorite for the role of Mister Fantastic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot of ‘The Fantastic Four’. In a recent interview with Salaam Nerds, Kohli reveals that he was among the actors considered for the much-anticipated role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, which was eventually secured by Pedro Pascal.

Kohli openly shared his thoughts on fan castings and the volatile nature of such speculation. According to him, fan castings brought joy on good mental health days and sorrow on bad ones. Despite the fluctuating emotional response, he expressed gratitude for the support and attention he receives from fans, who have been eager to see him portray various characters, including Constantine.
Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four Cast and Production
Pedro Pascal will be joined in ‘The Fantastic Four’ by other notable actors including Vanessa Kirby (playing Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing), Julia Garner (the “Shalla-Bal version” of Silver Surfer), and Ralph Ineson (Galactus). John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser, and Natasha Lyonne have also been enlisted in undisclosed roles. The reboot, slated for a July 25, 2025 release, has been teased to possibly take place in the 1960s.
The direction of the film is being supervised by Matt Shakman of ‘WandaVision’ fame. The screenplay is currently being rewritten by Josh Friedman based on a draft from Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Initially announced by Kevin Feige during 2019’s San Diego Comic-Con, the project was once attached to Jon Watts, the acclaimed director of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
