Netflix recently launched a new six-episode drama series entitled ‘A Man in Full.’ This series, based on the 1998 novel of the same name by Tim Wolfe, has quickly secured a number two spot on the Netflix Top 10 list. Interestingly, the show has also been tied to the ongoing beef between music artists Drake and Kendrick. The series features well-known actors such as Jeff Daniels, Diane Lane, Tom Pelphrey, Lucy Liu, Bill Camp and Cahnte Adams, and Regina King directed the initial episode. However, it is still uncertain whether Netflix will renew the show for a second season.
About the Series
In ‘A Man in Full,’ Daniels plays the role of an Atlanta-based real estate tycoon facing sudden bankruptcy. The plot revolves around his struggles to protect his empire from those who wish to exploit his downfall — a common issue amongst affluent characters.
Will There be a Second Season?
Though Netflix markets ‘A Man in Full’ as a “limited series,” indicating the storyline is self-contained, there is no official confirmation of a second season at this time. Considering the plot is basically concluded by the end of the season and there’s no sequel to the original novel, the prospect of a second season seems improbable.
Experience of Working on the Show
For Jeff Daniels, working on the series was thrilling. The actor expressed his excitement and the challenges he faced in portraying his character in an interview with People. He emphasized, “It’s all about the challenge of staying believable. Do audiences care enough about my character to follow him throughout the series? It was indeed a challenge, and apparently, I succeeded.”
