Netflix gives us our first peek at JLo in its forthcoming sci-fi thriller, Atlas. Fans got a tantalizing glimpse of the new film, where Jennifer Lopez plays a brilliant data analyst on a mission against a rebel robot, through a post on Netflix’s official Twitter account. The star-studded cast includes Sterling K. Brown, Simu Liu, and Abraham Popoola, with the movie expected to drop later this year.
Twitter Teases with a Sneak Peek of Atlas
The Netflix’s Twitter tease gave fans a hint of the action-packed thriller. JLo’s character, Atlas, is pitched against a rogue AI – an entity from her mysterious past. Accompanying the surprisingly revealing storyline summary was a first-look image from the film, heightening anticipation for this much-awaited release.
Furthermore, a brief clip from the movie was shared on JLo’s official Twitter, providing a further hint into her character’s mindset, with the ominous quote, “There’s always a thing you don’t see coming.”
What More Do We Know About Atlas?
Directed by Brad Peyton, known for his previous work on ‘Rampage’ and ‘San Andreas,’ Atlas showcases a rather intriguing plot crafted by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite. Jennifer Lopez not only headlines the movie but also serves as a producer alongside an impressive team including Peyton, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Jeff Fierson, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.

This isn’t Jennifer’s first collaboration with Netflix. She previously starred in 2023’s ‘The Mother,’ currently streaming on the platform. The release date for Atlas on Netflix is yet to be announced, but it’s confirmed to be sometime in 2024.
