LaKeith Stanfield Joins Mark Wahlberg in Crime Thriller ‘Play Dirty’
Fresh off the success of his role in Jeymes Samuel’s film, The Book of Clarence, LaKeith Stanfield is all set to share screen space with veteran actor Mark Wahlberg in the upcoming crime thriller, Play Dirty. The film, directed by Shane Black, is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
In the movie, Wahlberg plays a hardened professional thief who experiences betrayal. Not one to take it lying down, he embarks on a quest for revenge, transforming it into a golden opportunity for the biggest heist of his career.
Play Dirty – Thrilling Plot Twists
Play Dirty, an adaptation of Donald E. Westlake’s Parker novels, promises to be an intriguing watch for the audience. The plot features Wahlberg’s character seeking revenge and coming face-to-face with formidable adversaries including a South American dictator, the New York mob, and the world’s richest man.
LaKeith Stanfield takes on the character of Grofield, portrayed as an actor turned con artist, who partners with Wahlberg’s character.

The screenplay of Play Dirty is penned by Black, Charles Mondry, and Anthony Bagarozzi. The film is being produced by Jules Daly and Marc Toberoff, following Joel Silver’s removal from the project.
