Hurwitz Hints at Hilary Swank’s Return in Cobra Kai’s Final Season

Jon Hurwitz Teases Hilary Swank’s Arrival in Cobra Kai Season 6

Could it be that Hilary Swank is preparing for her return to the karate dojo? “Cobra Kai” co-creator, Jon Hurwitz, has teased what seems to be the impending arrival of Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank in the series’ sixth season. Best known as Julie Pierce, the other noteworthy student of Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita), she may soon rise from the ashes of the past to join the fight in “Cobra Kai”.

“I can’t promise the hawk or any Oscar winners in this photo — I will never give potential spoilers — but rest assured we’ll have at least one character from the Karate Kid films return that hasn’t yet appeared on Cobra Kai #CobraKai #Netflix”

The Unlikely Alliance in Cobra Kai

While “The Next Karate Kid” may not have been as successful as the original “Karate Kid” films, fans eagerly anticipate the on-screen interaction between Julie Pierce and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). And with the additional complication of John Kreese’s escape (Martin Kove) in the season five finale, it’s plausible that a unified stand from Mr. Miyagi’s apprentices is necessary to combat their common enemy.

Julie Pierce Eyes Cobra Kai Season Six

The fifth season of “Cobra Kai” concluded with the arrest of Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), ending two seasons of scheming. However, with John Kreese (Kove) potentially freeing Silver from prison, and the entry of Master Kim Sun-Yung, old rivals-turned-friends, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), will likely need all the support they can rally. Hence, Julie’s arrival could represent an essential turning point.

Anticipation for Cobra Kai Season Six Builds

As fans await the return of “Cobra Kai”, they are left to ponder on the potential storyline of the sixth season. Will the narrative see the return of “Karate Kid” favorites like Chozen, Mike, and Kumiko? As production continues amidst strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), one thing is sure – the anticipation is growing. Presently, there is no official release date for “Cobra Kai” season six, but fans can expect its return on Netflix towards the end of 2024.
