Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito Stirring Twins Sequel Buzz Again

Despite previous hesitation regarding their roles in the sequel to their hit 1988 comedy “Twins”, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito were recently seen together in a buddy photo. This reunion, combined with Schwarzenegger’s heartfelt Instagram post, has strongly hinted at the possibility of the duo collaborating once again in the near future.

The pair initially surprised fans in April with a pre-recorded reunion video for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. A recent encore of their reunion came when Schwarzenegger attended DeVito’s Broadway play, “I Need That”, and they delighted fans with another notable moment shared via Instagram.

Schwarzenegger’s post from the event read: “My brother! It was fantastic to see Danny on Broadway in I Need That. He and Lucy and everybody involved kept the audience entertained, laughing and loving every minute — one of the best plays I’ve ever seen, a true spectacle with heart!! I can’t wait to work together again.”

Could the ‘Twins’ Sequel ‘Triplets’ Become Reality?

‘Triplets’, the sequel to ‘Twins’, seemed ready to commence production with both Schwarzenegger and DeVito set to return, and Tracy Morgan cast as the third sibling. However, after the unfortunate passing of director Ivan Reitman, the future of the project became murky. Schwarzenegger suggested that the film might not proceed without its original director, but recent sightings of the duo might suggest that the project has found new life.

Schwarzenegger had previously stated after Reitman’s passing: “We had a little setback because the man that was supposed to direct it, who directed the first one, Ivan Reitman, had passed away. We’re going to wait a little bit until this whole thing cools down, and then we’re going to readdress it.”

Although there is no certainty surrounding ‘Triplets’, fans are thrilled to see the ‘Twins’ stars together again, prompting speculation over potential future collaborations.

Arnold and DeVito Bridge the Gap Between Film and TV

Schwarzenegger has recently made his first move into television with his appearance on the hit Netflix series ‘FUBAR’, which has been green-lit for a second season. While there is only speculation about DeVito potentially making an appearance in the show, fans are eagerly waiting to see if this could become a reality.
