In addition to ‘Nosferatu’, Hoult is also appearing in James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ as the villain, Lex Luthor. Additionally, Hoult is also set to star in the animated feature, ‘Garfield’, where he will be giving voice to Garfield’s owner, Jon. Other upcoming projects include a role in the crime drama ‘The Order’, Clint Eastwood’s ‘Juror #2’, and the horror film ‘The One’.

‘Nosferatu’: Offering Old-School Gothic Horror

Robert Eggers, known for his work on critically acclaimed movies like ‘The Witch’, ‘The Lighthouse’, and ‘The Northman,’ has high expectations to meet with ‘Nosferatu’. Speaking with Empire, he assured audiences that the film will indeed deliver scares, as promised.

“Yeah, it’s a scary film. It’s a horror movie. It’s a Gothic horror movie. And I do think that there hasn’t been an old-school Gothic movie that’s actually scary in a while. And I think that the majority of audiences will find this one to be the case.” -Robert Eggers, Director

‘Nosferatu’, based on the 1922 silent horror film by F.W. Murnau, is essentially an unruly adaptation of Bram Stoker’s 1897 classic, ‘Dracula’. Although Stoker’s estate won a lawsuit against ‘Nosferatu’, demanding all copies of the film to be destroyed, the film managed to survive and has since been revered as one of the most influential films in the horror genre.
